Carrying Idler. Conveyor Idlers are used to carry or convey conveyor belt loaded with bulk material.

Usually, idler rollers aid in the supporting of weight and impact of the materials being transported along the belt.

1. Function:

   • Support the Conveyor Belt: Idler rollers bear the weight of the conveyor belt and any material being transported, providing the necessary support to ensure smooth, continuous movement.
   • Alignment and Guidance: They help keep the belt in alignment, preventing it from drifting off track and causing potential damage or inefficiency.
   • Reducing Friction: Idler rollers reduce the friction between the moving conveyor belt and the stationary frame, which allows the system to run efficiently and with less wear and tear on both the belt and components.

2. Types of Idler Rollers:

   • Flat Idlers: These are used where the conveyor belt runs in a horizontal or slightly inclined position. They provide stable support over long stretches of the conveyor belt.
   • Troughing Idlers: Often used in the middle section of conveyors, troughing idlers are designed with a set of rollers that help form a "V" shape, keeping the material centered and preventing spillage, especially in bulk material handling.
   • Return Idlers: Located beneath the conveyor belt, these idlers support the return portion of the belt. They are typically positioned at regular intervals to prevent sagging of the belt as it returns to the start position.
   • Guide Rollers: These are used to ensure the proper tracking of the conveyor belt, especially in areas where the belt may be prone to slipping off course
